Great place for Detroit style pizza. The whole neighborhood is filled with restaurants. Not many seats inside so be prepared to wait in line outside on the sidewalk. The pizzas are each enough for 1.5 to 2 meals, but of course ymmv. Lots of beers on tap as well.

I have been wanting to try Iron Born Hawaiian pizza for a long time and I finally did today! I got one of those and a meat pie. Believe the reviews; this pizza is absolutely delicious. Everything was high-quality and obviously made with super fresh ingredients. The red sauce is amazing and the crust has the perfect texture with an amazingly crunchy cheesy edge. I have become bored with the typical pizza that is out there. I now cannot wait to order again and try some of their other versions. I am usually not a dessert person, but I decided to try their cannoli and pineapple upside down cake. Wow the cannoli was to die for. Both desserts were not overly sweet to my relief. Absolute perfection. How can you lose with pineapple upside down cake? If you haven’t tried Iron Born yet I highly recommend that you do. I did get takeout, but the place has a great vibe and the workers are fantastic. Super enthusiastic and friendly! I know about their beginnings and it is amazing how far they have come. They’re popularity skyrocketed. And obviously with good reason!

This review is solely based on our delivery order. I have no idea what the service & atmosphere are like, so it gets five stars because our order maintained its freshness and hotness, and it’s located in the terminal so I’m assuming it’s a fun atmosphere. We’ve had Iron Born delivered 3-4 times now and they are consistent. I find it REALLY difficult to find good pizza in PGH and Iron Born does not disappoint. The pastas and appetizers we’ve tried are all delicious as well. The chips that come with the French onion dip are sometimes too salty for me, but I won’t knock a star off for that since I’m sure most people don’t prefer reduced sodium like I do LOL if you like Detroit style za, you’ll love Iron Born. The pizza with their hot honey is perfection!

I had the Vegas Pie with roasted mushrooms, sausage and parmigiana crisp all on top of a creamy garlic sauce. Totally outstanding pizza nice and crispy with abundant toppings. My Wife had a pepperoni pizza. The sauce is amazing not acidic with the right balance of smokiness of the pepperoni. The atmosphere is very laidback but the service was on point. Attentive and polite. I totally recommend this place

This was our favorite place that we ate on our trip to Pittsburgh. It was a resounding favorite from the whole family. We ordered the spicy pizza and the white pizza and enjoyed both. We also enjoyed our appetizer of chips and caramelized onion dip and buffalo chicken dip. Everything was delicious and service was good. We went on a Sunday around lunch time and it was not crowded.

Such a great place to grab some traditional Detroit style pizza. Plenty for 2 to share. Small seating area, decent line outside, but that just tells you how good it is. We got lucky and got a seat at the bar. Nice local beer lineup also!

Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Is deep dish style and they have tons of different unique options and also a build your own. Only thing is seating is limited so I would recommend calling before hand or we just sat at the bar since there was a couple seats available.
